Cleanup Day - Serving In The Body Of Christ!

One of the things that brings joy to my heart is when the people of God join together to serve Him. Sometimes serving Him is a lot of fun. Especially when you get down and dirty cleaning His house and put in a hard days work.

Some of our church family decided it was time to give the building we meet in a good cleaning and a fresh coat of paint. The room where we meet hadn't been painted since before the war started in 1999. The paint was literally peeling off the walls and the ceiling. About 30 people showed up on a Saturday afternoon and cleaned the place from top to bottom.

In the picture above some of the church family are scubbing the floor in the main room where we hold services. You can see the paint peeling off the walls. The large grey spots are the walls under the yellow paint.

Above some of us are pictured cleaning the plastic chairs. We cleaned about 200 chairs that day. Everyone enjoyed getting wet because the temperatures are in the high 90's.

The building we meet in is a government school. They use the facility to train government administrators and secretarial staff of all types. The building is in a sad state of repair. When we offered to clean and paint the portion we were renting they administration was very pleased.

The picture below is Louis Jones with pants rolled up scrubbing the floor. He eventually got soaked and had a great time sliding around with the other kids.

Pray that the Lord continues to help us maintain a good relationship with the administration of the school. (See the entire story)

Thank you for your prayers and continual support. May God bless you as you seek to serve Him in spirit and in truth.
